Sidmouth Under 12's first match of the season was on a beautiful warm September 25th at Sidford. The boys have a number of new rules to "tackle" this year including hand-offs, and the five-man scrum, but they approached the game with the usual high spirits and confidence.
Sidmouth were the first to score with a characteristic run from Ali Gibson, followed by a great response and a try from Crediton. Two further tries from Ali put Sidmouth in a commanding lead before a brilliant kick, catch and try from Crediton to finish 3 tries to 2, and a great winning start to the season for Sidmouth U12's.
Special mention for their relentless tackling goes to Freddie Trim, Milo and Max Barrett, and William Maw. Congratulations for a solid first game to Alex Bigg. With some highly energetic tackling and running with the ball, the man of the match award goes to Elfred Hunt.
