Dear Members,

The Board of Directors of Sidmouth Rugby Football Club would like to inform members that, with effect from 1 August 2026, membership subscriptions will increase for the forthcoming season.

The new rates will be as follows:-
• Adult, Junior and Vets playing membership - £120 per annum
• Supporters (formerly season ticket/social) - £90 per annum
• Annual Patron - £120 per annum
• Family (part of junior) max two per family - £25
• Life patron - £1000

This decision has not been taken lightly. Like many organisations, the Club continues to face significant increases in the day-to-day costs of operating and maintaining our facilities. Rising utility bills, insurance costs, maintenance expenses and the general cost of running a modern community rugby club mean that our annual operating costs are now approaching £350,000.

Over recent years, we have continued to invest in our facilities to ensure that Sidmouth RFC remains a club that our players, members and supporters can be proud of. Maintaining and improving the clubhouse, pitches and surrounding infrastructure over two sites is essential if we are to provide the best possible environment for all sections of the Club, from our youngest juniors through to our senior teams and non playing members.
Fundraising activities and the generosity of our sponsors and volunteers remain vital to the Club's success. However, these efforts alone cannot fully bridge the gap between income and expenditure. To safeguard the long-term financial stability of Sidmouth RFC and ensure that we can continue to develop and invest in the Club for future generations, an increase in membership subscriptions has become necessary.

We believe that membership at Sidmouth RFC continues to represent excellent value and provides a wide range of benefits, including:
• Subsidised bar prices for members – 20% discount over non member prices.
• Free admission to all First XV league and cup matches played at Blackmore.
• Priority access to tickets for international rugby matches.
• Discounts and special offers available through a number of our valued sponsors and partners.
• The opportunity to be part of one of the strongest and most vibrant rugby communities in the South West.
• Access to Club events and social activities throughout the year.
• Supporting the development of rugby at all levels, from Minis and Juniors through to Senior and Veterans rugby.

Sidmouth RFC has always been much more than a rugby club. It is a community built on friendship, volunteer commitment and a shared passion for the game. The continued support of our members enables us to provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities and helps secure the future of the Club.

We would like to thank all our members, volunteers, sponsors and supporters for their continued loyalty and commitment to Sidmouth RFC. Your support is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to another successful season both on and off the field.

Yours in sport

Jud Lascelles – SRFC Vice Chairman
