Sidmouth RFC is following the guidelines from the RFU regarding Covid-19 and will act accordingly and keep you up to date.

Corona virus - Statement from Devon RFU. | 16th March 2020

The current situation is being monitored very closely with government statements, direction from the RFU and advice from Public Health England being the basis for decision making. As it stands there has been no recommendation to curtail activity but the situation is very dynamic and fast moving so we may have to react speedily to developments.

The RFUis set to make a further statement today (16/3/20) and the government COBRA meeting also today is expected to introduce further significant restrictions. Active consideration of potential measures is in hand and include the postponement/cancellation of the competitions we control such as Age Grade Festivals and cup finals. A further statement will be issued as advice or events require. Personal circumstances will of course influence the decisions you take as an individual and this will be fully respected.

Everyone should consider self isolation if symptoms are experienced and increased hygiene measures such as regular handwashing continue to be promoted. Keep safe!

Geoff Simpson, Chair, Devon RFU.
