Pre Season Training (24/06/09)

Pre season training for the season 2009/2010 will start at 7pm on Tuesday 7th July at Sidford training pitches. From then on training will then be every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the season.

There will also be a lighter session on Wednesday 1st July if you just cant wait any longer!! All are welcome.

125th Anniversary celebrations (16/06/09)

Sidmouth RFC is about to reach its 125th Anniversary and a week of celebrations is being organised to start the 2009-10 season.

Sunday 30th August:

Chiefs v Exmouth - KO 3.00pm

Exmouth were the opponents for the first home game played on 8th November 1884.

Tuesday 1st September:

The Pullin Cup - Starting at 6.00pm

A revival of a competition for juniors first contested in 1904.

Wednesday 2nd September

Colts v Exeter Chiefs Colts - KO 6.30pm

Exeter were the Club's first ever opponents in a match played at Exeter on 1st November 1884

Friday 4th September - 125th Anniversary Dinner in the Clubhouse at 7.00pm with Guest of Honour Nigel Redman (Bath, England and British Lions) - Tickets Ł25
Application forms will be available for members soon.

Saturday 5th September:

'Quins v Cullompton 2nds - KO 2.30pm

Followed at 5.00pm by an Over 35s match between

Sidmouth College FP v The King,s School FP

Followed by an Ex Players Evening starting at 7.30pm to include:

A Pig Roast at 8.00pm

9.00pm - The announcement of the 50 best Sidmouth players of the last 40 years as selected by a panel of experts. Commemerative mugs, sponsored by Delderfields, will be presented.

It is also hoped to arrange a match against a Devon President's XV later in the season.

AGM on 16th July (10/06/09)

The Annual General Meeting will take place at the Clubhouse on Thursday 16th July starting at 7.30pm. This is slightly later than planned due to delays in auditing the accounts.
